Jet skis, acrobatics and life-sized minifigures: It’s all in a day’s work for Caitlin Mack.

Caitlin Mack graduated from the BA (Hons) Professional Dance Performance programme in 2025 as a member of Seedtime Musical Theatre Company. During the Seedtime Agents’ Week in her graduating year, she came to the attention of an agent at Virr Collective, who signed her before the end of her studies. Through Virr Collective, she was offered a contract with RWS Global, a live experience and experiential design company who recently started working with LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort on live events including LEGO® City Live: Ultimate Stunt Showdown.

This exciting family performance includes pyrotechnics, jet skis, high dives off a tower over the lake and many other acrobatic stunts. Caitlin’s role is Acrobat & Swing, meaning that she will play all roles in the show at some point other than diving off the tower, which is left to specialised acrobats (though Caitlin hopes to join their ranks at a later date).

This may not be the first kind of show people think of when they imagine what a Musical Theatre graduate might go on to do. Caitlin explains that she has always been an athletic performer with an interest in acrobatics as well as a deep passion for acting and singing. “I’ve always done some form of gymnastics. When I retired as a competitive athlete, I started focusing on other skills, to aid my musical theatre career, like aerial straps, aerial hoop training under the coaching of Katerina Anastopoulou, and hand balancing alongside my acrobatics. I believe these extra skills helped me to become a more versatile performer.” She also explains that her training at LSC helped equip her with the skills and fortitude needed for this performance. Her acting training as well as physical conditioning prepared her for a show that she describes as “15 minutes of pure cardio, acting and reacting.” That’s not to mention that it is performed three times per day!

Caitlin says she cannot confirm or deny whether she appears in the LEGO-man, but that is her on the back of the jet ski!

Of course, Caitlin’s love of musical theatre is not lessened at all, it just sits alongside a host of ambitions she has as a performer. Some of these ambitions include joining a Royal Caribbean cruise as an acrobat, a Celebrity Cruise as a dancer & aerialist and performing in a Cirque du Soleil production. Her dream musical, she says, is Bring it On.

Right now, Caitlin is having a blast performing in LEGO® City Live, which is playing at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort until 31st August. There is a chance it will return next year with an extended contract, and Caitlin has her fingers crossed that this happens.

Reflecting on being given this opportunity, Caitlin says “I was lucky enough to gain this contract before finishing my studies at LSC. This was due to my extra skills, so I would say to dancers & performers that if you are considering trying a new hobby outside of your studies, this is your sign to do it! It just might take you to unexpected places in your career like it has mine.”
